The sports park was designed to provide modern amenities to the southern athletic community.
The installation of the turf root zone provided a number of challenges. A combination of minimal tolerances in base material, and installing base material over non-traffickable megaflow required meticulous planning.
The natural sloping nature of the site required significant cutting, and the importation of 9,000t of fill to bring it up to design levels.
By adopting our waste management practices and sustainability targets, this project saved 1,500m³ organic materials from landfill, used 500t salvaged topsoil, and incorporated recycled plastic composite edging.
