We were engaged to undertake the following scope at the greater McGilp Reserve Upgrade project:
Irrigation to oval and entry statement
Soil amelioration
Mega flow drainage system
Soccer pitch extension, including placement of growing medium and laying instant turf
New playspace with multi-play tower and inclusive carousel
Rubber surfacing and organic softfall
Rock boulder edging and timber log
Advanced tree planting
Mulched garden beds and planting.
More than 650m³ of growing media was installed for the new oval extension. Tree protection zones in and around the new playspace required smaller, specialised equipment and non-destructive excavations. Strategic coordination and careful planning with BluBuilt was required to maintain safe access for the local school and community to use the main oval throughout the works.
By adopting our waste management practices and sustainability targets, we were able to return 1,733 plant pots to the nursery, use 126t of recycled materials, and use recycled HDPE materials in the new drainage system.
